Letters to God

Storyline
A young boy fighting cancer writes letters to God, touching lives in his neighborhood and community and inspiring hope among everyone he comes in contact. An unsuspecting substitute postman, with a troubled life of his own, becomes entangled in the boy's journey and his family by reading the letters. They inspire him to seek a better life for himself and his own son he's lost through his alcohol addiction.

Letters to God shared by Jules Saa
Another inspiring movie night that made us realize that sometimes people who are sick are the one's who is more understanding, forgiving and possess positive attitude than those who take care of them or people that surrounds them. When they are suppose to provide comfort, encouragement rather we are the ones being comforted, assured and inspired by them that through sickness they have seen the other beauty and blessing that God provided for each one of us. That being sick is just a physical hindrance for our mobility and physical pain. We should not view sickness as a burden to us or to everyone. We should not stop being appreciative of life and to other people just because we are sick.
The movie reminded us that we should be grateful, appreciative of the people in our lives. People who make us laugh and even people who hurt us.
One way of expressing our thoughts, emotions and gratefulness to God or to the people around us that affect our lives, people who gives us service or we interact with that sometimes we neglect to say thank you to is through writing letters. Sometimes its hard to express our emotions but one way of letting go of it and unloading the pain or happiness is to write it.
And so with it, we are going to encourage others to write letters to God and to ourselves. It's nice to keep a journal of our life. To record every emotions we encounter. How we triumph and overcome the in and out season of our lives. So what is you Letter to God?
A truly inspiring film... I can't wait to show this to the rest of the CYF.. I hope they become inspired to communicate with God in prayer or in writing, after all being a Christian means having an intimate relationship with Christ.
